FAQs
How do you clean the bouncy castles?
Bouncy castles will be cleaned before any hire. All bouncy castles go through a dry clean (sweep/vacuum), followed by a wet clean.
What happens if the customer is late to meet us for set up?
If the customer is late to meet us, we may have to come back, resulting in another delivery charge or you could be charged for waiting time.
Can the bouncy castles operate on windy days?
Yes, they can. However, our stronger winds can be too much for some castles. We will make the call on the day whether to cancel the hire or not. If we choose to cancel, it is for the safety of your children.
How much is delivery and do you deliver anywhere other than Whangarei?
Delivery 5km within Whangarei CBD is free. After that, the charge is $1.50 per km. Four trips are required for each delivery.
Generally, we only deliver in Whangarei due to travel time and charges being too high to deliver elsewhere. Feel free to contact us to discuss.
What is the latest time I can have the bouncy castle?
It depends on your location. We prefer the castles to go out between 9 and 10 am and back by 5 pm. Please call with your idea of times, and we will see what we can do.
Does someone need to supervise the operation of the bouncy castle?
Yes. For the safety of the children who will use the bouncy castle. A responsible adult over 18 years of age must supervise the jumping castle.

Do you hire your bouncy castles on weekdays?
Please get in touch with us to discuss this. Additional costs will apply.
Does the bouncy castle have to go up on the grass?
Before setting up the bouncy castle, kindly ensure the ground or surface on which it is being set up is level, clean, stable and free of any pebbles, sharp stones or any other object that could cause damage to the inflatable. Also, check the height to which it will inflate and ensure it will not touch or snag on branches, roof extensions, or other structures. The electric extension/connection cable to the blower must not run underneath the bouncy castle or where children may be playing or have access. Ensure that the area around the unit is completely clear as it can shift during use.
How long is the hire period?
You have the option to hire a bouncy castle for either 4 or 6 hours. We have fixed pricing to suit; however, we are open to discussing and meeting your requirements.
Do you deliver on public holidays?
Yes, we can, however, this is on a case-by-case basis. A minimum fee of $50.00 will be added to your total hire.
Do you take last-minute bookings? (Two days before date required)
We can possibly accept last-minute bookings but these would incur additional charges. Please contact us for details.
How much access space is required to get the bouncy castle to the set-up area?
Access ways need to allow for at least 1m of space, and for the larger Combo-style castle, at least 1.5 meters of horizontal space is needed.
What if there are steps to get to the set area?
As a general rule: If there are steps, you will need to notify us when making the booking as the jumping castles weigh between 60kg and 170kg, and it is difficult to manoeuvre up and down steps.
Can the bouncy castle be in contact with walls or trees etc.?
No, the bouncy castle must be at least half a meter away from any object. If the bouncy castle is in contact with any object, it may cause it to suffer abrasion damage. Also, there may be a safety issue if the children in the bouncy castle make contact with the object.
What happens if the bouncy castle deflates during the day of our hire?
First, check the power cord hasn’t come unplugged; check that the inflation tube is still attached and the blower hasn’t been blocked. If this doesn’t solve the problem, contact us by phone ASAP, and we will talk you through possible solutions if the problem can not be fixed and as long as it’s not due to misuse of the bouncy castle and less than halfway into your hire time we will come out and replace it with another castle for the remainder of your Hire Period (replacement is dependant on availability and will be a different bouncy castle). If we cannot offer a replacement, other options will be discussed.
What happens if we damage the bouncy castle?
If the damage is considered malicious, you will be liable for the total cost of repairs, transport costs associated with the repairs, and the loss of business costs while the castle is repaired. We keep a record of the condition of our bouncy castles and would advise you to check the bouncy castle before the delivery person leaves and note any problems.
Can we have the bouncy castle overnight?
Sorry, we do not allow the service of hiring a bouncy castle overnight. The reason is that our insurance policy doesn't cover this.
What is the maximum age allowed on the bouncy castle?
All our bouncy castles have an age limit of 12 years. We recommend that the bouncy castle children be grouped according to age, and only children of a similar age and size use the bouncy castle simultaneously for their safety.
Do you stay and supervise the bouncy castles?

I have just booked a bouncy castle. What happens now?
-
Once you have enquired via our Contact Us page, we will be in touch within 24 hours via email or text.
-
A bond is required within three days of booking and then the remaining balance at least seven days before your event date.
Do I have to pay a bond?
We require a $50 bond (this is an additional cost to the bouncy castle hire price). The reason for the bond is to ensure that if there are any damages and the castles involve drying or extra cleaning, your bond will go towards covering the cost. If all is good with the bouncy castle, we will refund the bond within seven days of your hire, pending a post-event inspection.
Can the bouncy castle fit indoors?
Yes, in most cases, they can fit indoors. When we say indoors, we refer to inside community halls, stadiums etc. Please let us know upon booking, and we will ensure the bouncy castle you want will fit indoors.
What happens if it rains?
We are sorry, but we do not deliver bouncy castles in the rain if they are outdoor events. However, if they are indoor hires, we do deliver them. The bouncy castles cannot get wet under any circumstance. The bouncy castles come with a blower, which must be kept on. Electricity and water don't mix well, so as a rule, we don't have the bouncy castles operating in the rain. If you think it might rain during your hire period, you can cancel the hire when we call you.
If it rains during your hire period, there will be no refund if your hire time is shorter than 6 hours.
You say your bouncy castles have a range of safety features - Could you be more specific?
Features include an adequately designed entryway to ensure children can safely enter and exit the castle. Unlike many standard bouncy castles with an open front or sides, ours have full safety netting, making it almost impossible to fall out when children are inside the bouncy castle. The bouncy castles are firmly anchored to eliminate the risk of tipping over.
